Adonal Foyle, founder of Foyle Consulting enjoyed a 13 year career in the NBA. From the day he signed his contract, however, he approached his life as it may be his last year in the NBA. He never allowed himself to get caught up in the lavish lifestyle of most professional athletes- foregoing customized Lamborghinis and enormous mansions to ensure that he was smart with his money and careful with his reputation.

Knowing that he could not be an athlete forever and wanting to learn how to make sure he could live a guaranteed tax-free life, Adonal consulted numerous professionals in order to figure out the best ways to invest his money, save and still maintain a decent lifestyle.

After retirement, Adonal returned to the NBA as the Director of Player Development for the Orlando Magic. Beyond what is usually expected of someone in this position, Adonal incorporated one-on-one financial literacy sessions with the players who expressed the importance of the financial information they learned from him because it is a subject that is rarely spoken about amongst professional athletes.

In addition to coming financially-savvy, Adonal also dedicated ten years of his career to earning his Masters in Sports Psychology from JFK University in California. In this field of study, he learned more about the mental aspect of sports and how this also affects athletes in their career and beyond. If you are an athlete from any level- high school to retired professional athlete, Adonal has a way to support you. Widely respected by his peers and fans, Adonal is thought of as one of the most intelligent players in the NBA and a real renaissance man. His heart shines through in everything he does as does his genuine concern for creating a more rewarding and thoughtful experience for athletes of all levels.

Adonal is an activist with a deep commitment to improving society. He has founded two non-profit organizations: Democracy Matters (www.democracymatters.org), a non-partisan campus-based project working to get big money out of politics and people in; and Kerosene Lamp Foundation (www.kerosenelampfoundation.org) which uses basketball to empower at-risk youth to grow into healthy and well-educated adults.
